But don’t they look so cool? This effect was created by a material put on a round surface. No particle system, no tessellation. It was mostly created with just some noise, a panning texture, and a lot of trial and error.
I’m experimenting with ways to upload images/video from the game, and the above clip is just a gif, so that’s why it looks so grainy. The clouds look even better in engine.
I have another version of this same material with the masking. I feel like this texture looks better than the others and as a bonus, it’s a lot lighter weight than the previous clouds.
